PAY RANGE

$140,000 - $175,000 Annual Salary - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Talent Acquisition will serve as a strategic member of the Human Resources leadership team, responsible for creating and owning the talent acquisition strategy for the company. This role will oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a positive candidate experience and aligning hiring practices with MidPen’s values and business goals. The Director will focus on attracting, recruiting, and hiring top talent across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to Senior -level executives, while maintaining ownership in the success of the company's talent acquisition strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Design and implement programs and talent acquisition strategies to support MidPen’s business initiatives, utilizing data-driven insights to monitor their effectiveness
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on talent acquisition matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success
  • Develop, mentor, and coach the talent acquisition team so they are recognized as talent partners, serving as trusted advisors to the business
  • Partner with the HRBPs to understand and collaborate on business needs, trends, Talent Management models
  • Owns end-to-end management of the recruiting strategy and process while ensuring a personalized and engaging candidate experience
  • Utilize various creative recruitment channels, including social media, job boards, and professional networks, direct sourcing, job fairs, early career/college recruiting programs, etc., to attract diverse talent
  • Drives adoption of consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring practices across the organization; analyzing recruitment metrics to improve efficiency, reduce costs and improve the overall talent acquisition & development strategies
  • Manage and ensure the effective use of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including oversight of quality data input
  • Oversee employee referral programs to leverage internal networks for talent acquisition
  • Manage and maintain all effective external partnerships with recruitment agencies and vendors
  • Utilize and maintain a strong employer brand to attract top talent, promoting MidPen's as a recognized "Best Place" to work and messaging our Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
  • Create innovative programs that support recruiting efforts and enhance the candidate experience
  • Ensures recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures and all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Develops and facilitates hiring manager training relevant to Talent Acquisition, sharing recruitment best practices across the organization
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition
  • Ensure that a broad applicant pool is integrated into every aspect of the recruiting process
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Eight (8) + years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful recruitment strategies
  • Strong understanding of recruitment pace, best practices and employment laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in programmatic recruiting and building relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and achieve hiring metrics and strategic goals
  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License with proof of current auto insurance, or reliable transportation
  • Commitment to the Mission and Values of MidPen Services and MidPen Housing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working for a non-profit, or previous experience recruiting for property management or social services roles
  • Proficient user of Greenhouse ATS
  • Prior experience working for a government sub-contractor

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
  • Frequently sitting
  • Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 15 pounds
